We threw a baby shower for our good friend, Rachel, who is friends with EVERYONE and fortunately it was summertime and we could host our large party outside. Rachel loves veggies and salads and s'mores so naturally we had a giant salad bar with every kind of topping imaginable and a delicious s'mores bar. The party went late into the night with friends gathered around the fire laughing hysterically and eating chocolate, but alas I forgot to take pictures of the bonfire and s'mores bar so I'll just have to make do with wonderful memories hopefully memorialized with this blog.
I found all sorts of jars and vases at Goodwill and filled them with candles or flowers from our gardens plus I had a bunch of lanterns so as the sunlight waned the flicker of the candles made it feel like fireflies surrounded us warming our friendship with their subtle glow.
